On Friday, March 29, 2024, Charlotte Elizabeth Jeter Carelock loving mother of three children, Galind Washington, Danetra Cobb, and Yolonda Dean passed away at seventy-five years of age.
Charlotte, affectionately known as “Cookie” was born on September 25, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, and later moved to Greensboro, NC. She was raised with love and care by her late grandparents George and Eliza Jeter. She was educated in the Guilford County School System. She was a lifelong employee in the medical field until her health declined and she could no longer do what she loved to do and that was to care for people.
Cookie loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She loved cooking for her family and friends, and they enjoyed eating her food.
Survivors are her beloved three children all from Greensboro, NC: Galind Washington (Denise), Danetra Cobb, and Yolonda Dean (Tovi); one sister: Shirley Bostic – Connecticut; special long-time friend, Joe Warren – Greensboro, NC; ten grandchildren, one in London England – Curtis (Michelle), and the rest in Greensboro, NC – Brandon (Shaleea), Montague, Chavez, Deontaye, DeShaunte, DeShauna, Tyshaun, Danesha, and Toviana; 17 great-grandchildren; special “best friend” cousin, Mozelle and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
