Mrs. Bessie Lucille Williamson

Mrs. Bessie Lucille Williamson, peacefully passed in her sleep at home on February 20, 2024.  She awaits the glorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who promised to take God’s faithful children to his heavenly kingdom to a reward of eternal life, joy, and peace.  A kingdom that is free from pain, sorrow, trials and tribulations.

She was born March 27, 1931, in Pittsburg, PA to the late Joseph and Clara Thompson.  She was the third of six sisters, and three preceded her in death.  

Bessie received her education in the public school system in Shelby, North Carolina.  She worked in various domestic jobs before she was employed for 42 years at Moses H. Cone Hospital in, Environmental Services, in Greensboro, North Carolina.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday February 28, 2024, at 12:30 PM at East Market St. 7th Day Adventist Church Family Life Center 1800 E. Market St. Greensboro, NC 27401 with interment following immediately after at Lakeview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:30 prior to the service.

Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2024, from 10-5 PM at Woodard Broadnax Funeral Service 1207 4th St. Greensboro, NC 27405.
