In Loving Memory of Father Peter Charles, Sr.
The son of a King, born to Banbaga Charles and Mojama Taylor, Peter Charles came into this life surrounded by love and hope on September 14, 1949, in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Joined in holy matrimony with Cynthia Hammonds Charles, family was the bedrock of Peter’s life, an ever-present source of strength and joy. Whether through financial support for family education or quiet moments of counsel, he cultivated an environment where everyone felt seen and valued. Peter’s devotion extended all over the world, beyond immediate kin, embracing friends, neighbors, and anyone in need of a helping hand.
A lifelong learner with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Licensed Practical Nurse, and degree in Early Childhood Development, Peter sought knowledge as a tool to understand the world and better serve others. He served at Elim Christian Fellowship, always ready to contribute wherever needed.
Peter’s professional journey was marked by dedication, integrity, and quiet confidence that inspired all who worked alongside them. Whether leading a team or supporting from behind the scenes, he approached every task with care and a sense of responsibility. Colleagues recall Peter’s collaborative spirit, his thoughtful leadership, and his ability to uplift others toward shared goals.
Peter’s career stands as a testament to what is possible when one commits not merely to success, but to significance—making a difference in the lives of family, friends, clients, coworkers, and the broader community.
Peter’s legacy is woven through the lives he touched: in the encouragement offered to someone struggling, in the patient guidance provided to a child, in the acts of kindness, Peter’s actions were guided by a genuine desire to give back.
